Une jeune française, qui avait prit part au corps expéditionnaire envoyé par la France pour soutenir le Shogun, se retrouve désœuvrée après la défaite. Elle décide de rejoindre le restaurant fondée par un autre soldat, à Tokyo. Peut-être réussira-t-elle à retrouver une vie normale, et qui sait, à trouver l'amour...
