McDROID is a surreal Action Tower Defense with - mega frikkin' lasers that talk - upgradable robots - Gattling turret - crop and monsters that mutate - an economy based on giant strawberries. - levels hand crafted like they used be. - Cute cartoony Borderland graphics, but it's hella tough so you may have to co-op with your friends to take down that insane Mutatosaurus. Imagine the hectic big boss fights of RTYPE combined with the smarts and resource management of Dune 2. That's McDROID, our first game, made in homage of these awesome classics. It's original, with gorgeous cell shaded graphics, boasts 100 enemies on screen at once, the most badass weapons (linking teslas, wave canons, bot factories...) and unusually challenging enemies. It's a tough game, not for the faint of heart and it's got co-op multiplayer.

Hello guys,
McDroid in my opinion is a very enjoyable game so far at the alpha stage. It is one of the few indie games that i really do like with its beautiful graphics and satisfied gameplay. I think the game is cappable of being a candiate on the Steam Greenlit list. Yet, i couldnt find the game on Steam Greenlight so i wonder whether the dev will apply the game for Steam Greenlight. Since once the game is officially on Steam, it will significantly boost the sale revenue of the game.
Additionally, i have heard that the game now support the coop mode, then how many players i can play with?
p/s: i registered Desura just for this game so i really dont know where to ask. If it is posted in wrong place, please forgive me.
Thank you for reading.

Hey man,

We'll do something with Steam when we feel the momentum is there and the moon is full because we have many ideas - allez, I'll share a little secret but keep it to yourself : the entire control scheme was design with console in mind.

Yes there is coop, it works and we're guilty to spend a bit too much time playing on it because it's fun (and I don't like multiplayer games). If you want to synch up with us and play, you can join us on the IRC channel that Fraser set up : Indiedb.com

Cheers

hi,
thanks for replying me.
I'm glad that you share me that secret haha. i hope the project will be soon on the steam greenlight. cant wait for it. Even though i tried to convice my friend to get a copy of the game yet he refused. Because of his thinking: no steam, no money. :(
