Welcome to the new UI menus, we wanted to create a menu that felt according to the game itself and where its placed, so , we used the Initiatory well, one of the most beautiful and cool places inside Quinta de Regaleira. Also, thats where our story begins, at the bottom of this place.
One of the first UI indicators we have through the game is, light. Whenever something is activated such as pressure plates or buttons, we felt it was a good decision to give feedback to the player like the following example:
we've also introduced some UI elements available through the gameplay to remind the player important hotkeys such as "F" to open the journal or "E" to take pictures.
Animated timers UI above animated puzzles so the player can understand the purpose of the puzzle and its remaining time.
