There is a distinct level rating that we wanted to create in our first game. Most games use the three star system, we wanted to try something new. We incorporated hats on Yin to rate how well you do on each level based on the number of throws you make when attempting to wake up the sleeping birds above. When you Hit all the birds on the stage in one attempt, You're CROWNED KING! ( a Yo Yo master/ "YINTACULAR!")
When you Hit all the birds on the stage in 2 attempts, You're awarded a COOL CAP ( KICKIN')
When you Hit all the birds on the stage in 3 or more attempts, You're shamed with a DUNCE CAP ( LAME) "Get it together Yo!" Naturally you want to be recognized as a Yo-Yo MASTER, so play through and CROWN all levels to unlock a special weapon, "THE SURESHOT"

Here are a few images from the development of our game. Initially we wanted to see if we could take the character and elements of the story from the book I wrote and transition that into a game. My partner and I love playing games and have never created a game before now. For a little over a year we spent late nights and tiresome hours to work on this labor of love. His background is in flash coding and my career is in animation, so this is a product of our first attempt at creating something together with what we both love to do. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to give us insights on how we can make this game better.
