Description

Galleria is a 2D puzzle platformer adventure designed for children aged 8-11. With fun and engaging artwork, immersive puzzles and an interesting story, children are encouraged to flex their problem solving abilities, and improve cognition and fine motor skills. Inspired by works including Disney's Fantasia and games such as The Lost Vikings, children are exposed to elements of art history and Italian mythology as they take on the roles of three fairy sprites, Rosso the Paintbrush, Blu the Water Flask and Giallo the Palette, to restore priceless paintings that have been ruined by the evil Bleach in an unfortunate accident.Players will swap between the characters, utilising each of their unique abilities to progress through the levels and eventually restoring all the ruined paintings in the Galleria; the art gallery.

History

Team Triple G is a six-person independent game developer formed in 2017, comprised of students of Queensland University of Technology's Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment. Galleria is our maiden game as our final year capstone project for our studies. We are very excited to finally get our feet wet and send a project of our very own out into the real world!

Our aim with Galleria is to showcase our skills as programmers, artists, project managers and designers, and as a cohesive development team. We hope to create a game that is fun and engaging while facing the challenges associated with designing a game for younger players head on.
