Before we dive into the article, the whole team at Brain Candy would like to thank you for your support and helping us to be selected for the IndieDB top 100. We are very grateful and we will continue to work on a game that we hope you will enjoy!
In Fray, you control a squad of 4 combatants, to whom you will issue orders on the battlefield. You must choose these characters within a pool of 6 classes (Sniper, Assault, Medic, Tank, Support and Shadow) and each has its own specializations and weaponry.
Today we will be presenting the Support and Shadow classes, two versatile roles that will help you dominate the battlefield.
"All the gadgets at your fingertips."
Armor: Medium
Movement: Medium
Range: Moderate
The Support is a class with a significant amount of equipment that can change the outcome of a combat.
They prefer finesse and technology to direct confrontation, and can provide any kind of support to a teammate, revealing enemy positions, assigning robot companions to an ally, automatically supplying ammunition using their aura and using some of the bountiful equipment available to them.
Weapons examples:
HF-Smith - Hand machine gun, ultra-precise but short range. Entry-level weapon for Aros’ HF series, it has triple the shooting rate of an equivalent weapon from the start of the 21st century.
Mine Launcher - With a design based on the rapid positioning of ground-study sonar devices, the Mag Tyde mine launcher and its projectiles remotely position destructive mines on battlefields.
Equipment Examples:
Turret - Fires at all opposing targets entering the area of effect.
Spawn Beacon - Sets a new spawn zone for the team.
Special Aura:
Supply Aura - The Support restores allied ammunition.
"The last seen before dying"
Armor: Medium
Movement: Moderate
Range: Low
The Shadow is a backstabbing class, using technology to stay camouflaged and striking its opponent at the critical moment.
The Shadow’s strength is that it is the only class capable of blending into the background while moving behind enemy lines and creating panic when it makes its fatal appearance.
Weapon examples :
HF-Smith - Hand machine gun, ultra-precise but short range. Entry-level weapon for Aros’ HF series, it has triple the shooting rate of an equivalent weapon from the start of the 21st century.
Sol.Zero - A double concentration of technologies in a single weapon. The barrel has a quantum propulsion device, in front of this is a particle speed reducer built around a chamber where the temperature reaches absolute zero. Once all of the particles and atoms have stopped, a quantum shock is triggered to transmit the effect in the target direction. The first obstacle encountered is instantly frozen, for as long as the shot is maintained. There is also a sphere on the back of the same propulsion device. In this sphere, there is a reproduction of solar reactions, and a device amplifies the resulting radiation and concentrates them in the barrel, where they are then projected as very high-energy solar radiation.
Equipment Examples:
Area Jamming – Destructible physical device generating a smoke screen and hampering the opponent’s visibility within an area.
Secial Stance:
Camouflage - No modifier is applied to the characteristics, and any action other than
movement will deactivate the camouflage.

umm, shadow says heavy, isnt it supposed to be medium.
take it the same thing applies to the CronaCorp medium as heavy: that being they are brain implanted cyborg suits?
In my opinion, heavy armour makes sense since apparently it is a close combat unit, when you are closer to the enemy, a shield or more armour to compensate a lacking of offensive power makes a lot of sense
woops, sorry guys, my bad, it is medium armor. The shadow can already become invisible, we didn't want ro overpower him! ;-)
You welcome :)
I absolutely love the armour etc....gives that Fallout/Gears of war/Killzone2 look
