The Old God has left the world and the pretenders are awakening and coming out from hiding. You start the game by designing one of the pretender gods that will compete for true ascension to godhood. The type of god can range from a magically powerful arch mage to an ancient kraken or a mystic monolith that people pray to. Your pretender controls one of over sixty different nations and with the help of that nation he will spread his word and battle the other pretenders. Dominions 3 is a turn based strategy game. You can play single- or multiplayer (1 - 23 players) with simultaneous turns. There are more than 1500 different units, 600 spells and 300 magic items in the game. The game also features a medieval musical score by Erik Ask Uppmark and Anna Rynefors, both awarded the title of Musicians of the Realm by the Swedish Zornmärkeskommiten. Dominions 3 is a highly detailed game and a 300 page pdf manual is included in the download.

Hi all. Been a while.

Lagos, Fu Inle, is an EA nation based on the rabbit society of Watership Down, with a fair bit of interpretation and projection. (What would a nation of uplifted rabbit men in the world of Dominions based on Richard Adams's rabbits look like?)

It's provisionally complete and currently in beta status, at version 0.99, while I do balancing and final tweaks. Feedback on any playtesting anyone feels like doing will be extremely helpful, as I'm wanting to keep it balanced for both SP and MP play.

It's primarily hosted at the Dom3Mods forums, but I thought I'd maintain a thread here too. :D

[Open to dark scene of armies massing on opposite ends of a stark battlefield, punctuated with indistinct flashes and cries as they begin to surge toward each other.]

[You know the voice:] In a world... gone MAD.

One nation... one people... will stand against them all.

A nation of...

Rabbits.

[Cut to image of intimidating, bloodspattered, armored rabbit-man warrior with bronze helm on a bloodied battlefield.]

Bloodspattered Rabbit Warrior: "THIS... IS... EFRAFA!!"

[Cue tribalesque war drum beat.]

[Proceed through ridiculously-violent video montage of rabbit warriors brutally slicing through men in various garb with exaggerated blood and severage effects. Spatter the camera with blood at least once.]

[War drum beat builds to a crescendo, until finally stopping abruptly.]

The rabbits are coming. Vengeance will be theirs.

Fu Inle.

Coming soon to a hard drive near you.

Yeah, that was awful. But I had to do it.

Basic concept is "Frith's Second Gift," which uplifted the damned things and gave them a semblance of courage. The nation's name is Lagos: Fu Inle ("after moonrise" in Adams's rabbits' language).

I drew on design inspiration Tir na n'Og, Pangaea and MA Mictlan. For magic, strong in earth/nature, with some access to fire, water, air and astral. Will have specific summons (units and mages) for blood and death, but no inherent access to this (must get it via indy mages, pretender, or trade/empowerment).

It is a nation of relatively weak rabbit-men with serious morale issues (rabbits!), but good morale mitigation on your higher-end troops (translation: your PD is huge and runs away anyway). On the plus side, its troops are almost all stealthy and agile, they're easily massable, and it counterbalances them with high-quality sacreds that should go well with a bless strategy.

For fun, it's got some Blood and Death options, though no native Blood access (except for a hero who has B1) and rare native D access.

Again, for more details, see the Dom3Mods thread.

Thanks guys! (Late response! Almost forgot about the thread!)

It's now in beta status, so if anyone feels like playing it and giving me feedback, I will be veritably gushing with gratitude.

Hey, anyone know how I change the thread title?
