Artifact goes completely Free-To-Play!

It's About Time...

Artifact has had a lot of success over the years, considering we're 'indies!'.

We're very pleased to announce that as of January 20th, 2014, we've moved to a completely 'Free-to-Play' model. Full Access subscriptions and payment levels are no longer needed to enjoy unlimited game-time, and unlimited access to Artifact. Previous subscribers will still remain listed as their respective payment levels (such as Gentries, Nobles, Royals and Imperials), however all new accounts created automatically unlock all perks and advantages to the game!

The best part? No Ads, No Micro Transactions, No Subscriptions. Just good clean fun.

Why move the a Free-to-Play model you ask?
Simple! To make you happy.
We are working diligently on v3.X which brings Artifact to all mobile platforms and tablets. To keep our players happy and returning, we've decided to open the game up to everyone! Our goal is to make mobile downloads on the Apple AppStore and Android market, cheap (99 cent) downloads to install Artifact on your mobile device and play from your phone or tablet!

We've restructured the game!
Another great addition to the latest client is the new restructuring of the game lobby.
You can now choose from various game settings like Slow (for very casual players), Standard, Fast, Accelerated and Blitz Games!

We've included an auto-updater!
Finally. We're finally able to release patches without our players needing to download a new client!

We're starting season holiday events!
You heard it correctly! Starting 2014, every common holiday will now result in events in the game that can award seasonal tokens, achievements, and custom tilesets!

We've included a new in-game tutorial and help section!
A big issue that has come up over the years is the steep learning curve as Artifact consists of a lot of city micromanagement. Now, you can use the onscreen help to learn the ropes faster than ever!
