Forrest Part Rebuilding
The level design for the game was something that was done some time ago, right in the beginning of the project development. After the first sketching we start to build the levels on Unity, and did not change practically anything afterwards.
There were some aspects that had some problems. One was the fact that the level was not that big, not that this was crucial but we liked the game to be longer. The second aspect, that critical, was that the level was too flat. The characters would simply walk, find a puzzle or a challenge, solve it, and kept walking left. That was a bit boring so we decided to change that. Finally the las problem with the level was the way we were testing the mechanics. We would just have on or two jumps, and then the character ddi not have to jump again. This applied to other mechanics also.
After some thinking we came up with a new design that we hope is a lot more interesting and fun. The level now have multiple challenges for one mechanic, more verticality and more exploration instead of simple walking.
I hope that by now you are already used to, the level will flow from right to left. With this new design we try to reuse the most of the previous puzzles but expanding them. If everything goes well this will be the level that we will show you at the end of the project, stay tune for all the new updates .
