Our game is called A Scurry of Squirrels, a fast paced 2D adventure runner game for tablet devices, mainly Ipad, but later android devices as well. Drawing inspiration from Norse mythology, our game sets to challenge the paradigm that a lot of casual games are overlooking the narrative aspect of the game. We are going to provide a strong visual narrative along side with an easily approachable and engaging gameplay experience. The gameplay is based on elements familiar from platformers and runner games. Squirrels are amazing climbers, and the general direction of movement is upward. All these area leading to a storybook like feel, similar to Disney and studio Ghibli.
We believe that tablets are the storybooks of the future. They let people experience stories and worlds in a new way, whilst allowing for the same ease of use as traditional books do. We also believe that games for these devices haven't risen to the task of providing users with interesting and engaging story content.
