Hey Folks,

We are an indie game development studio currently looking for a skilled programmer. Currently we have been developing our game in Unity but as of recently the project took a major shift and we decided to redesign the team as well the original concept.

So we are in search of a new programmer who can handle a large scale project.

Below is a link to an early build that we built in Unity.

Early WIP Development Example

As seen from the video the game is a 2D retro style game. The art style is a top down perspective which features action adventure type movement. Think about the classics on the SNES like Zelda A link to the past, Secret of Mana 1/2, Terranigma, Secret of Evermore. Even some games like Alundra 1 on the playstation have inspired us. These games act as inspiration for the game but our concept is totally original and will not feel like a copy of any of the games mentioned above. Combat will feature real time action hack and slash type, with RPG elements mixed in. Your character will deal numerical damage, gain experience & level up, stat and skill points all will allow for the ability to customize how your character grows. The game will be fully done in classic 2-D art style with high quality pixel art. The video does not show it but combat was implemented but only the basic levels of the system were coded.

Shown below is an early mock up after our recent rebranding/redesign.

No coding has been done on this build at this point. Even though we started development with Unity, we are early on in development and are open to considering different engines such as Game Maker Studio.

We are aiming to finish the game by September of 2018. We will also be looking to launch a crowd funding campaign within the next few months depending on how quickly we can prepare a gameplay trailer. Payment is negotiable for the position. We are planning to release on Windows, Mac, Linux, Game Jolt and Steam. We will be pursuing a launch on Nintendo Switch after the initial launch on those platforms.

Please send your application along with your work experience and portfolio to our email below. The more info provided the better and of course feel free to ask any questions you have regarding the project.
