Mods that come with automatic installers don't work for me. I download the file, run the installer (or attempt to), but my computer can't "run this program" (the installer). I have windows 8. I have this problem with multiple mods for multiple games. Some of the recent ones I have tried:Desert Combat Mod - BF1942Desert Combat Final- BF1942Goldneye Source Mod- Source Engine Neotoykyo Source - Source Engine I only specify this to point out it does not work with any games that include a self installer, so its not a problem with a specific game. And I have installed all of the above mods (as well as many others) multiple times on my other computers so its not my incomptantance. I just can't get installers to run from this site on this PC for some reason?

Can you right click on the name to bring up the properties tab like in Win7?
If you can, then right click on program name, find and click on file location, the the .exe for the installer, and let er rip bro
That, Should....do it.
Message me if it won't? I am not familiar with Win8, it all should show the properties and file location the same way....Anyways, find the file location of the installer, (usually .exe file name on the end.
Have you looked at the Options for your Browser too?
There is a way to look at all of the password for everything there in Win7
I found mine were dual accounted, and deleted one to make the programs go,
next is the test to see if that fixed the same prob you have on the etsmp.com too.
going there now
JustNeil2 on Steam and other places, friend me if you wanna talk some more, or message in a forum here?
good luck bro!

Yes, i believe its to do with UAC and .exes downloaded from the net, if the above doesn't work when you right click the files, you should see an option to allow the program to run when right hand clicking the file and selecting options.
Then under security, tick the box that says allow.
