Hello, for many years i am now working on my latest HL2 ep2 sp-mods called The Closure (Ep3).

I have a lot of experience with the Hammer editor and Source but i now do need some basic

info, that i never needed before it seems. I need citizens (npc's) to talk to the player. I meam for

instance when a citizen is in the player way and he moves aside, that he then says something like;

sorry Gordon, etc. Because now they don't say something, they just move aside. So i don't need

faceposing and all that kind of stuff, just the default sayings of the citizens. Hope you know what i

mean.

Should you be interested in my mod then please check here;

I think you have to use FacePoser to setup a scene first, more info here;

Followed by creating an event, yet more info here;

Hope this helps.

Thanks BrainRhineheart, but those things i all know already.

I just meant the normal default textlines citizens say when you for instance bump

in to them, those don't need to be scripted or anything. I mean those lines as;

Sorry Gordon, i will go out of your way,

or;

I will follow you Gordon,

etc.

Okay, how about SoundScape? Trigger a SoundScape script when the player/camera is within a certain radius of the entity.

Hope this helps this time.

Thanks for your comment again BrainRhineheart, i to thought about SoundScape but it would be quit complicated for

what i need it for. And it would only happen a few times at best, that it is needed. So i have rebuild a few scenes

so i don't need it anymore. Would take much to much time to do and the outcome would probably not be noticed

anyway by most players. And, as i already said, it is hardly needed in the first place. So, have found a way around the

issue. But many thanks!
