Greetings to everyone. I'm a solo developer working on an ant-based real-time strategy game with Godot 3.

I'd like to share my progress here. Be sure to stay tuned if this is something of your interest.

About Ants Claim

  • Ants Claim is a 2D, ant-based, real-time strategy game made with Godot 3.
  • It is inspired by Empires of the Undergrowth, Pocket Ants, Ant Queen 3D and The Ants: Underground Kingdom and may share some common features with them.
  • It is my first ever game and I've been working on it since September 2022.
  • In this game, you can gather resources, fight different insects and grow your colony. Things get harder as you grow stronger and progress through the story.
  • For controlling you can make pheromone groups and assign different tasks to different groups of ants.

Add Funnel Web Spider and integration of their web trap.

Implementing the Save and Load system in the game. It covers saving/loading of - player details, creatures and other entities of the world and their information including their position, scale etc.

Note: As the game progresses in the future and more functionalities and mechanisms are added with more missions in the game, a better and more complex save/load system needs to be brought into existence.


October 19, 2023

Worked on the Tutorial Mode.

The level isn't finished yet, but the basic mechanisms are in place. It'd need some content, balances, and final touches before release.


December 7, 2023

Major changes and improvements to graphics and user interface.
