Great concept! Following.
Impressive stuff! It's great to see the GoldSrc community alive and well! Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Steam version? Yes please! Trying to play a serious HL2 co-op game in Synergy proved to be nothing but frustration (bugs and crashes galore), so I'm happy this is getting updated again!
Welcome back! :)
Any chance of a native Linux port at some point?
Right now we're working on turning Draconian Empire into a stand-alone game (with a multiplayer focus, for now). It's going to be easy to understand, and it still retains some Homeworld influences.
The mod is defininately not cancelled though, as we found all of the old resources that we've last worked on. :D It might just take a bit longer to release compared to the game though.
Glad to be part of the team. :)
Can't believe I haven't followed this project before. I wish you the best of luck!
With the advantage of GPL-friendly GZDoom branches such as GLOOME and GZDoom-GPL, do you consider releasing this as a stand-alone game?
You're welcome! :)
Just curious: are you going to bake the shading into the textures? Since GZDoom doesn't support vertex-shading and such.
I remember fiddling around with this in the past, but the lack of scripting makes it very limited. Does this support any form of scripting yet?
This is all made in GameMaker? That's incredible! Very inspiring, and I really enjoy the art-style.
I think this would be much better as well, honestly. I'm having a lot of trouble with the Doomsday engine, and I would much rather just run this with GZDoom and get all this hassle over with.
It doesn't work for me. The iWad is in place, but as soon as I start Absolution.exe the screen goes black, and then goes back to Windows with an error message that reads "Absolution.exe has stopped working". No matter what I try, it doesn't want to start for me.
Looks promising! Are you using high resolution textures?
Srb2 team? I'm not sure what you mean.
Probably the most delayed reply ever... Yes, this mod is pretty much dead but I'm working on a new GZDoom mod that will be similar and also survival horror in nature. I've learned quite a few new things that I think will make it a better product overall.
I will create a new page for that mod as soon as I have something playable and worth people's time. As for Project Legacy... I might upload the WAD file in the future. The last build features one ghost monster, a torch item, and dynamic ambient sounds.
Just a fair warning to you guys: people tried making Duke Nukem Source before, and they got shut down by 3D Realms. They are really stingy when it comes to their copyright.
Looks really good for DBP! Wish there was a video of this.
The design looks okay, but to me the hands look wrong. The clothing looks alright, and the masks have some creepy potential.
Okay, nice. I'm currently playing with the idea of creating clouds using a shader for my game.
The moving clouds in your video, did you made them using a shader?
Is the blur effect all done by shader?
The model looks cool, but the lamp itself looks too bright for a traditional oil lamp. Unless you wanted to make it look like an electrical lamp?
That looks really good. NeoAxis is certainly a very capable engine.
If may nitpick a little bit though: the shadow on the bottom picture looks a bit weird. But then again, its an RTS game so rendering detailed shadows constantly with 500 entities on screen might make NeoAxis poop itself. :P
Thanks alot! I appreciate it, and I'm working hard on it.
Too bad though, could be awesome with the Doom multiplayer communities like Zandronum.
