They will- the focus of this graphic is skeletal and membrane construction in the editor.

would it be possible to expand this system to later stages too? out of the wiki i read that something like this will be implemented in the creature stage too, but will it stretch to later stages? would be awesome to build spaceships like this in 3D :3
