The Chaser (2019) Windows game

The Chaser is a forthcoming indie horror game and the standalone video game adaptation of Kate and the 'Into The Abyss' level from the 2013 survival horror video game, Slender: The Arrival.

Story

The Chaser is set in the aftermath of Slender: The Arrival and pits gamers as Lauren, the returning main protagonist and playable character from The Arrival.

Lauren is a young woman and one of Kate's friends. After a long, desperate search for her friend - Lauren meets the shocking revelation that Kate has been taken and brainwashed by the Slender Man into becoming a feral, hooded and masked proxy known as the Chaser.

After being knocked into a brief coma at the end of the game, Lauren is dragged away and taken to the abandoned Kullman Mines - where she now must stand her own against her former friend and their faceless stalker.

Characters

• Lauren - An unwitting, hapless sole survivor and the returning main protagonist and playable character from The Arrival. A young woman who went searching for Kate following her mysterious disappearance. Now aware of the truth, she must outlast the Chaser and Slender Man long enough to find a way to escape.
• Kate/The Chaser - The titular main antagonist of the game. A brainwashed, feral creature wearing a blood-stained white hoodie and mask. Chases and attacks trespassers on sight. Vulnerable to bright lights.
• Slender Man - The tall, thin and faceless secondary antagonist of the game. Harnesses numerous supernatural abilities, such as protruding tentacles from his back, audio/video distortion, and teleportation. Drove Kate to the brink of insanity and now influences the actions of the Chaser.
