Backdrop: You'll start out in an interstellar craft cruising a solar system when you run into computer/engine issues and are forced to land on one of the nearby planets. After landing you find that the computer and engine are beyond repair and are forced to essentially start from scratch...reacquiring all the needed materials and equipment to restore your craft to be functional enough to at least get off the planet. Game Play Style: -Universal Sandbox (as in multiple planets per system, multiple systems per galaxy, multiple in the Universe all Terra-formable) -Completely random Generation - No 2 Universes will be the same...means, different planets, systems, galaxies -Planets will range from the size of Pluto to moon -Minecraft Style -Weapons, mods -Build/create - cities/space stations, ships, orbital platforms -multiplayer -and more!

Post news Report RSS Soft Kickstarter

Being my first news post, I'll try to keep it simple and to the point. This is all about the soft kickstarter and maybe more timeline info on what I plan to do over the next few weeks regarding information.

Posted by on

First, lets get the info for the kickstarter out of the way. Got one started up over at rockethub. Rockethub.com

Now, it's just a soft kickstarter to try and get some much needed funding for the project as progression on the project is going to be a bit slower. Check it out, and help out if you can.

As for the plan to release information. Over the next few weeks I plan to add a few more new videos showing a bunch of content that has been added recently. Maybe a few screenshots and such. I'm pretty excited about them. Flying through a galactic system and heading to any one of the thousands of star systems (solar systems) to find a good enough planet to start a base at? Who can't like that. Soon I will have multiple galactic systems in. Thousands. Just let that sink in for a moment. Thousands of Galaxies, with 5 to 10 thousand star systems, each with 1 to 4 planets? I don't feel like doing the math but that's roughly 20 to 40 million planets. Right now I only have one galaxy running for the test environment with each system holding 1 to 2 planets. So, that's roughly 10 to 20 thousand planets in this test system. And it's not even optimized and still runs smooth.

The motto for RavenPhyre Soft TE is quality over quantity. I don't planet on releasing an unfinished project here...no worries though, you'll all get to test out the pre-alpha versions (should you wish), until it hits Alpha and Beta. Which of course there will be contests and some of the perks from the kickstarter is complete access to every release.

Anyways, I hope I kept this simple yet informative for you lovely gents and ladies.
