Pale Coins is an Action RPG set in a fantasy world with challenging combat, open world exploration and a variety of items.
Traverse old forests, dark caves, weathered ruins and unknown places, to find the Champion's Coin and fulfill your greatest wish.
Explore a handcrafted Sword and Sorcery fantasy world and its secrets.
On your journey you will encounter several monsters and the likes. Some of them present a true challenge, so you better be prepared well before facing them in a fight.
Find a variety of weapons and armor, each with different types, movesets and skills, to slay your way through hordes of enemies and tough bosses.
Besides casual weapons and armor you may find equipment with rare enchantments, which grants special boni. If you are lucky, you may also find unique items with unique enchantments and skills.

The new Pale Coins Demo version 1.3.0 is now available.
Pale Coins has been polished and improved over the last few months by adding quality of life changes, better sound design and lots more.
In this article I want to cover the recent changes and where to find the demo.
Major changes
- 3D Sounds
- map items
- new main menu screen
- entrance to the Marin Passage is available
- crafting items is now a thing
- new intro sprites
- a cat in the outlaw camp!!!
- Steam page overhaul
Minor changes
- VFX improvements for several spells and environmental effects
- less mana costs for starting spells
- NPCs react to certain events
- improved the movement of NPCs
- new weapons, armor and artefacts
- option to change the HUD
- improved transparency shader for trees and bushes
- combat trainer is now available for combat skills
- alchemy items are available
- new NPCs
- signs are placed where the demo ends
Bugfixes
- fixed an issue, where summing missiles sometimes crashed the game
- fixed damage calculation of certain modifications
- limited the view for wide screens
- fixed some translations
- fixed gamepad issues
- show notifications above other UI elements
All in all, I am very happy with the current state and the development of the last few months.
