You play as Katrina, a witch who was cursed and is unable to cast magic.
Feeling like she has fallen behind her peers, she embarks on an adventure to obtain the Dark Tome, an ancient relic that is rumored to gift its wielder with immense power and magic.
Katrina's Kurse is an easy to learn but hard to master game, with a health system similar to Cuphead. You cannot regain lost health, and getting hit causes you to lose a heart. You only have 3 hearts and it is difficult to increase your maximum health.
Attacks are slow and deliberate, enemies can move quickly, forcing you to time your attacks and have great positioning when fighting.
Platforming is fast and precise, a misstep could make or break your success.
