A novel platformer that pits Cid, a humble jumping spider of the Phiddipus audax species, against a laboratory full of genetically and cybernetically enhanced bugs. Armed with your hydraulic legs, your silk dragline, and your trusty venomous fangs, you must jump, swing, and eat your way past your own arachnid brethren and other multi-legged monstrosities, all courtesy of Araknotek, Inc. The game will feature tight physics and an incredibly intuitive, minimalistic control scheme optimized for touchscreen devices (and mouse, if that's your thing).
The sprites in my current screenshots are a placeholder. I think there's a lot of room to give Cid more personality. I envision him almost like a cat: He's self-important, he's aloof, and he spends most of his time thinking about and trying to acquire food. But he also has a soft spot, somewhere beneath that exoskeleton, that also makes him a likable protagonist.
