Grim Beasts is a series of prototypes for a physics based multiplayer fantasy party game with beasts and environmental hazards; examples of early tests include a frozen ice platform that fractures and breaks, a hostile cephalopod that brutalises a ship, a cave with collapsing rock pillars, and an exposed mountainside with erratic winds that can blow characters off rickety bridges. We currently plan to support Windows, OS X, and Linux. We will add support for the XBOX ONE and PS4 consoles if we can secure the necessary permissions (and if Unity support becomes available).
The development of Grim Beasts has slowed in the last few months as we (Boneloaf) have been concentrating on a similar game built with the same character pose and movement system we are making for Grim Beasts (we currently call the system 'Femur'), the new game is provisionally title 'Gang Beasts' and is a single player and multiplayer Co-op (1-4 player) fighting game influenced by mêlée combat arcade games, specifically Capcom's Final Fight games, Sega's Streets of Rage series, and Taito's Double Dragon and Renegade games.
The development of Grim Beasts (and our space game prototype 'Star Beasts') is continuing in parallel to the developments of Gang Beasts (specifically improvements to 'Femur' can be moved to the other games) but there is currently no plans to release Grim Beasts before we have finished and published the first version of the Gang Beasts game.
The logic for deferring of the Grim Beasts game (until some time after Gang Beasts is published) is:
If you want to follow the development of our games or our company the link to the IndieDB page for Gang Beasts is Indiedb.com, and for Boneloaf it is Indiedb.com
We will continue to update the Grim Beasts page as new features or content is added.

when does this game come out or is it going to be a mode in gang beasts?
Not to be rude... But, have you been paying attention at all? I mean, have you read the summary? Anyways, this is a whole different game... That's all I have to say I guess.
will you make a download for it, or until it is in version 0.10?
The dev (Boneloaf) said "There is no pre-alpha available currently as we have committed to making Gang Beasts before resuming work on Grim Beasts."
Just look at the news section for more info :)

Will development on this resume after gang beasts is released, or during its development?
We want to make sure that Gang Beasts is good value for the people that have supported it's development on Steam Early Access before we can move people to work on Grim Beasts, we are currently working on adding the "waves", "race", and "break" game modes as a selectable modes for other stages, new customisations, and the story mode currently. I don't expect us to start working full-time on Grim Beasts until mid-to-late 2016 at the earliest unless we take on more members.
Hello... I've experienced the "Waves" mode. Which is pretty interesting now that the AI's have been improved. Though, I'm really curios on how "race", and "break" is going to turn out. I mean, it sounds pretty fun.
Edit 2: Forgot to say, it's mid 2016, and almost late 2016. I guess you weren't expecting Gang Beasts would be that fun huh? So many people asking for more things in Gang Beasts... Cool.
