Whispering Naked Man, a new 3-person indie game studio from Buenos Aires, Argentina—the region with the biggest psychologists per capita in the world—sets to drive down worldwide average sanity levels by revealing the announcement teaser for their opera prima: the psycho-thriller narrative game, DEBT DEADLINE.

DEBT DEADLINE is a psycho-thriller narrative RPG, fusing a retro-cinematic art style with mechanics from visual novels and adventure games — Throw dice, increase your reputation level, gain perks, buy equipment, use violence, and earn Secrets**.** A web of relationships is woven between all characters of the enclave, and secrets will allow David to manipulate them. The cut earned from collection contracts is too low. You’ll be never strong enough. You’ll be forced to resort to intrigue.

Powered by a procedural fiction engine, each playthrough is weaved by using hundreds of micro-events that only happen when it makes sense. This complex engine was the first prototyped component when making this game.

From game director, Brian Amadori: “On the making of DEBT DEADLINE, I hope to make a narrative game that reacts to your decisions in a believable and snappy way, without drowning you in walls of text. However I’m very influenced by narrative RPGs like Citizen Sleeper, Roadwarden, Six Ages, Disco Elysium, etc. I’m just aiming to make my own twist to the formula.”

DEBT DEADLINE is slated for a Q1 2025 PC/MAC/LINUX release.
