Crisis at Alpha Centauri is a side-scrolling platformer that relies on skill to maneuver, through the use of bomb jumping. Your enemies are the spikes, of which there are many. You will die a lot, that is a fact, hence the death counter in the lower left-hand corner. So if you enjoy death and the sweet, sweet scent of victory, you'll love Crisis at Alpha Centauri! (Or if death is just your thing, go right ahead.) Now for the obligatory story component to this description: "You are Trash Disposal Droid 001. Your mission? To remove a thermonuclear warhead that was somehow placed onto the hull of the space station where you patrol. Where are all the humans who operate this station? Why are you, a trash disposal unit, tasked with handling a bomb that could potentially blow up and kill all those missing people that may or may not be on the station? Who knows, but that's your mission!"
