Codename: Decay of Mankind is a Survival-Zombie FPS like DayZ. The game is heavily influence by The Walking Dead. Currently three game modes are planned - Story, Survival and Multiplayer.

In this update we give more info on the new direction the game is heading.

This update comes rather quick. For the past few days we started making the project for the ground up. We found it necessary, because we were using an FPS Kit. For now the Survival Mode is been put on hold, while we work on the features and start writing the story for the game. So here are the current features that we made:

  • Basic AI
  • Footsteps
  • Smooth Crouching
  • Day-Night Cycle
  • Player Respawn
  • Enemy Spawner
  • FOV Scoping System
  • Flashlight
  • Basic Raycast Shooting
  • Weapon Sway
  • Basic Weapon Manager

All of this feature work without any problems. Also we are testing on a map which is 800x800 and 200 high. The frame rate is very good - 60 FPS and the game is running on the best quality level. We'll be running a few more tests and see how the game preforms. If it is good we may release a prototype version of the game for you to test. All weapons which you see in the pictures will be changed prior to release.
