Today this experience, known as the Second Life® world, has a rapidly growing population of Residents from around the globe, who are creating and inhabiting a virtual world of their own design.

Linden Lab is funded by a group of notable investors including Mitch Kapor, Catamount Ventures, Benchmark Capital, Ray Ozzie, Omidyar Network, Globespan Capital Partners, and Bezos Expeditions.
Linden Lab has a distributed network of offices with over 300 employees worldwide. The senior management team brings together expertise in physics, 3D graphics, and networking.
