Hello and welcome to my profile. I'm Daan. I recently played Half-Life 2 and was immediately loving it. I was not done with it after I finished it and was already interested in level design. Combined, they form my new passion: mapping.
I've started with simple Counter-Strike maps, but am at the moment working on my very own solo single player mod called Complex. After that I'll finish some projects I have still lying around unfinished.
I'm still a starter mapping but I'm eager to learn and to fall & get back up.
After I get a bit the hang of mapping and scripting I might try some texturing and modelling.
I have great ambitions to join some (real) mod teams after I finish complex and start a real mapping career.
You might think: "Career?" Yes, I'm thinking of continuing with this after my school. My ultimate dream would be to work at VALVe or something similar :)
