This listing is a paid position with an unpaid evaluation period; the position is among "Aloft Studios", an indie executing the "Sticks & Starships" project.

I describe this role as the "Professional Coding Manager", who will take on a management position in this project as it exits the conceptual demo stage and enters its paid contractual work phase with funding. Applicants to this position can expect a brief unpaid trial period, where the professional relationship is evaluated and established, and the programming proof-of-concept of their development schedule is assembled, followed by a period where they can expect payment and compensation appropriate to their experience. In return for sharing in the small existential risk of this transitional period, you are granted access to partial ownership rights with a professional partner with plainly displayed diligence, resolve, and a commitment to realizing the project with equitable rewards to all involved.

In order to be considered for this role, the applicant should meet the following (admittedly demanding) criteria:

-Extensive C++ and C# scripting experience (5-7 years +)
-Unity experience strongly desired
-Experience in other languages and scripting systems (python, lua, java, etc) is a plus
-Is able to lead, delegate, and supervise high-engine-level tasks, such as rendering systems, data storage and reference systems, camera projections and controls, physics systems, lighting and shaders, and others
-Is able to adopt to new and challenging coding tasks outside of past work
-Has functioned on teams which have delivered on long-term projects
-Has professional references to back work history
-Willing to make this project their primary work commitment following mutual evaluation
-Willing to put in a demanding number of hours (40-50+ weekly) in the earlier development, to even out later
-Has native or near-native English language skills
-Residence in US or Europe strongly desired for reasons of travel access and possible personal appearances
-Takes high creative interest in the subject matter, and is comfortable working with the current materials

-Is appropriate for, and capable of serving in a shared-management role for this project- this means:
+Can realistically evaluate the scope of design problems, and offer studied solutions and timelines for realizing goals
+Participate in design-documentation
+Can evaluate the coding skills of diverse team members, and delegate work modules to appropriate parties
+Supervise the work of others, and bear accountability for its timely completion
+Communicates on a constant basis, and is reachable on a timely fashion
+Has the emotional development required to take on unexpected circumstances and manage crises
+Has strong interpersonal skills for interacting with people from diverse backgrounds in a comfortable way

-Is willing to sign work contracts after serving for a short trial period
-Is willing to take on co-ownership roles, and the associated benefits, of a legal US LLC

-The person filling all of these roles and qualities is likely in their late 20s-30s, but no explicit age requirement exists as long as the applicant appropriately meets the above criteria.

Compensation format and schedule will be discussed in the initial interview. The social structure of the studio will also be explained.

This role is trusted with a high-degree of responsibility in a project which has a long history and existing asset library, including hundreds of models, hundreds of texture sheets, extensive starter soundtrack of 12 musical pieces and 200 contextual effects, documentional / promotional comsumer homepage, heavily detailed and realistic funding proposals, active social media pages, relationships with media sources and PR groups, several feature articles from Rock Paper Shotgun, PCGamesN, and others, cinematic trailer, and tech demo.

The Highly detailed tech-demo, which details the project's conceptual goals, and is presented in consumer quality is also available upon request, which is an excellent tool for all potential applicants to familiarize themselves with the work.
