Steam Playtest - Update #3
The third update to the game is now available for all to play on Steam. This introduces the following new changes:
- Redesigned Space Station Interface
- Gold Asteroids - More resources to use for upgrades!
- Supernovas - They're a blast!
- Gameplay Balance - A good and complex mixture of challenging and fun
This is a Space Shooter Arcade style game, with heavy influences from the classic Atari game Asteroids. As you shoot down asteroids, fire on various enemy ships, you will gain various resources you will need to upgrade your ship to include more powerful weapons and various upgrades. Don't forget to avoid those space anomalies like Black Holes and Supernovas.
Even when you die, you retain the resources and upgrades you've made to your ship. Allowing you to score higher and higher and explore more of the game. Compete in-game with our leaderboard! There will be daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards for scores. The more you play, the better results you will achieve.
Take on the two main Game Modes. Cadet is for new players and anyone looking for a more relax and less chaotic experience. While Galactic Hero is there to test your skills with harder challenges. The rewards from Galactic Hero will be worth it though. Do you have what it takes?
The game is aiming to launch on November 1st, but until then you can play it right now as part of a Public Playtest for free! I plan on updating the playtest on a near weekly basis with new changes and additions to keep everyone interested. Would love to know everyone's feedback, so give it a shot!
