After being in development since 2008 iDamaged will now finally be released on Apple's AppsStore December 15 and we are feeling quite relieved to say the least:)
It has been a fantastic journey to develop the game. The game engine was made from scratch without using any middleware. The graphics were 3D modelled and prerendered and are simply gorgeous.
From a programming viewpoint this has been tremendous fun utilising only OpenGL and developing a macrobased script language to control the game flow in chunks of 32bit instructions making it a very fast 2D engine optimised to display all the rain/snow/explosions/smoke/debris/projectiles etc seen in iDamaged.
From a player's point of view you get loads of challenges. Completing challenges increases your ingame currency to buy upgrades for your weapons, shield and coolant in the kiosk. This is making the game engaging for a long time and the more you play the better your scores and times will get.
The game is compatible with the iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, iPad 1, 2 and all similar iPod Touch!
Here's a video made way back in May 2011, the game has changed since then but this should still give you an idea of what's expected. Mike form CrazyMikesApps.com is going to make a new video soon!:)
