Here at Steel Cyclone Studios, we are exploring new ways to help kids learn with interactive games and simulations to put into practice their knowledge so they can actually apply what they have learned. The world needs more educational games that will keep kids be more engaged and have fun while learning. Video games have the power to bring students together in new ways, help them learn from failure, encourage them to persevere and overcome their fears all while making complex topics comprehensible and fun. Research shows that using games in teaching can help increase student participation, foster social and emotional learning, and motivate students to take risks. Through games, students can learn a variety of important skills.

There are countless skills that students can develop through game playing such as critical thinking skills, creativity, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Gaming stimulates students and children to play together. Many games require players to work together in teams to achieve goals or to compete against each other. In order to achieve that, students shall refine their communication skills: this will help them to establish better relationships and have high self-esteem. Special thanks to Breshna for making this possible.

Some of the several benefits of using educational games in schools and universities are numbered below:

  1. Engagement: Educational games can make learning more engaging and enjoyable for students, which can increase their motivation to learn and improve their retention of the material.

  2. Active learning: Many educational games involve active learning, which means that students are actively doing something, such as problem-solving, instead of passively receiving information. This can make learning more effective.

  3. Collaboration: Some educational games are designed to be played in groups, which can promote collaboration and teamwork among students.

  4. Assessment: Games can also be used to assess student learning in an interactive and fun way.

  5. Adaptive learning: Some educational games have adaptive features that adjust the difficulty level to match the player's skill level, which can make the learning experience more efficient and effective.

  6. Simulation: Games can be great tool for simulating real-world scenarios and contexts, allowing students to practice skills and apply knowledge in a safe and controlled environment.

  7. Accessibility: Games can be used as a method to reach students who may not be as engaged or successful with traditional teaching methods, including students with learning disabilities or those who are not fluent in the language used in the classroom.

Overall, while educational games are not a replacement for traditional teaching methods, they can be a valuable supplement to the learning process.
