'Enemy Alien' blends point-and-click and role-playing elements in a game to uncover a dark secret in a small American town.

My motivations for this project and a small announcement of the adventure game 'Enemy Alien'.

The interest in my other project 'UPRAISE' is low, and the download numbers for the playable demo are very low as well. The situation is unsettling me, so I'm turning to my second project instead.

Surely, some people might still remember the old Amiga game 'It Came from the Desert' by Cinemaware. The exciting atmosphere and innovative ideas in it were quite impressive back then.

'Enemy Aliens' is not a remake but rather draws inspiration from the style of the old Cinemaware game while incorporating modern elements. It blends point-and-click adventure with role-playing, creating a unique and captivating experience.

The story:

Robert Miller hasn't heard from his brother, who is a journalist, in a long time. As a result, Robert travels to Blank River to search for clues and stumbles upon dark secrets.

Features

  • Adventure puzzles and item combining
  • Detective work
  • Short diverse moments (shootouts, navigating through mazes, etc.)

In addition, role-playing elements:

  • Action points (players must plan their actions carefully each day)
  • Earning money (doing journalistic work to later buy items & ammunition or bribe people)
  • Character attributes (making the game easier or more challenging)

Three distinct stories in one game (game content, locations, and endings are completely different)
