Mangled Eye Studios is pleased to announce that we are now open to pre-orders for our upcoming PC game titled Dark Salvation. This is for a limited unrated dual-disc edition of the game that you will not be able to get anywhere else.
Dark Salvation will be made available July 28th 2009 to those who pre-order now. Also everyone who does pre-order will be listed in the in game thank you credits We will also be sending out T-Shirts free of charge to some random people who have pre-ordered as an extra thank you for helping us get this off the ground.
This game has been a long time in the making and it has finally come to life and we want to thank everyone who has stood behind us 100% during this lengthy process.
I would like to see some gameplay videos before I consider putting down money.
doesn't look bad to me, but gameplay is most important.
I've seen some mods being done now that are wildly popular that look great in screens but the videos look like 1998-2002 quality with higher res textures. :/
Again, gameplay!!!!!! :) (hope there's lots of things to destroy!)
well seeing as the engine their using is form the time era, you shouldnt be expecting much more graphical awe.
We are gearing up for an official trailer and yes there will be a small demo available. This is using the default id Tech 3 pushed as far as the engine will allow without a rewrite because our focus has been making a fun game not just working on an engine with no game.
Maybe if the price was 5 $...
The game simply seems too lagged, ugly and gameplay just like Painkill and the like, just worse...
They should try a demo first, if the game is addicting, well, then they might get some buyers!
Yup.. You put it quite spot on...
wauw!!! a real game, no mod, but an actual game, what goes even further as making a total convertion!! for that alone i want to tell the makers that this is great stuff. i do have to agree that the screens don't show next gen images, but, what do you expect when the engine used is the Tech3 from id. what is a super engine, for those days, but even now. there are indeed great next gen games around, but, there are probebly even more new games around that look much wors as this. so, i think it does look great. but, as allready is mentioned above, screens alone is not enough for making a judgement alone, not to talk about buying it. because its true, it can look very good on screens, but when seen in action it still can be bad. so, should i have played the demo or at least have seen some gameplay fotage, then i for sure will buy it, simply for the reason that i want to help a project as this. making games does cost loads of money, even if it only was for the many months (years) that it needs for developement. and all those hours are not payed. (and i can now how much time and effort it takes, i sp-map for many years dayly many hours. last project Strider Mountain.com).
i will follow this project and hope to see/hear or even play more from it soon.
(read below for second part of my comment, was to large to place in one flied, lol)

and please don't listen to the bad comments made here now and in the future, its o so easy to compair games like this with next gen games that are made for many million dollars/euro's by 50 to 100 man or more. what is like compairing a mouse with an elefant. what is ofcourse to silly for words. so, just don't listen to them, they really don't know what there saying, and if they do there or silly, or just feel the need to kick around, while they don't matter what they say and to who.
well done, and please show us more when the time is there.
great project, and would have wanted that i knew about this when you started it, maybe i could offer my help them.
this kind of projects should be made much more, i really admire your talent, effort and will to have this seen through from start to end, because these things are a HUGE task to compleate!!!
