So - I have shamelessly copied/pasted the following from my Game Jolt page (because, no sleep for a billion hours!! :D ) - I made it! I managed to keep to my own goofy little weekend deadline! *gets a cookie* Posted the first publicly playable version of Savage: SOG, in all it's SOGgy glory. Be sure to wear a helmet - this is a pretty rough ride thus far. Lots of squishy bugs, game breaking issues, weirdo graphics stuff, etc. etc. But, hey - that makes it more of an adventure, right? ... right? Either way, I hope you have some fun with it Smiley Feel free to report any bugs/issues, send any comments/concerns/questions/feedback right here or via PlanetTobor. Expect many changes, additions, and general gussy-ing up to happen frequently. Thanks for taking a look! xoxo, Matt
This game is far beyond awesome. I'd wish this would get fully developed and ported to my OUYA. Damn I'm impressed!!!
Hey, thanks so much for giving the first public alpha a whirl! I definitely have an itch to put it on something like the OUYA as development gets further along.
It looks marvellous, but collisions are too unforgiving and generally I think the game would be better with a "softer" (initial) approach. It is an impressive work, anyway.
Thanks for giving it a try, exit! I agree - in its current state it is frustratingly difficult, and as I keep working on it, one of my main priorities is to ease off on the difficulty in the earlier sections quite a bit. I've also considered adjusting enemy hitboxes considerably - is that what you were referring to with collisions being too unforgiving? Again, thanks for the play and the comment :)
I particularly referred to character -> platforms collisions - they are "severe" and I fell down even when I was sure to reach a platform. But if you could smooth collisions with enemies too (hitboxes), it would not be a bad thing, since they are a reason of the initial "brutal" and uncomfortable approach to the game.
Excellent - thanks so much for the help, exit. These are things I hope to polish/tweak soon, if not in the next build.
Do not mention it. It's a pleasure. Good luck with your project.
you are great
:] No, my friend - YOU are great. <3 Thanks for checking out the game :)
Love the music!
I posted a comment anonymously but I guess it didn't take.
but here - the game's looking good. The music is nice, the mix of side-view and mode7 3d style adds to it. Some good action as well.
Looking forward to see more. You are doing a nice job here. Keep at it!

Hey, thanks very much Kevin :) Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you've gotten some enjoyment out of the alpha - more to come soon! :)
