In Hyperrail Detective, you play as a junior detective who boards an ultra-exclusive luxury train after the department receives a vague tip. With no leads to go on, your job is to investigate the situation and figure out what exactly is going on. Unfortunately, the passengers and employees on the train aren’t so happy about your being there.
We were inspired by JRPGS like Pokémon and classic noir works like Blade Runner, Altered Carbon, and Chinatown. In this game, we hope to meld the differing styles with a secretive story and a battle system that places you in control of a team of robots, called Mechs, each customizable to fit your desired use.
