We will post every sunday our progress on our game Obitus! This is our first post and will be a introduction to the game and where we currently are in the development.

Hey guys and girls!

This is the first post for our new game Obitus (Natural death). Obitus is a multiplayer game that takes influence from the Hunger Game series.

Obitus has been in development for about 8 months next to our full time jobs and we only now decided to post some progress about it.

When we started the development we focused at making it single player to start with. We created about 80% of the game and now we finally started to work on the networking side of it.

What is Obitus?

As mentioned before. Obitus is inspired by the Hunger Game series. where the players have to survive and kill eachother.

Obitus is not the reguar base building survival game where you can stock up and store a bunch of resources to survive. Instead you have a very limited inventory consisting of only 8 slots.

Items can be stacked but the max stack size is five. Weapons and special items can NOT be stacked.
This makes the inventory very limited. More on the gameplay will come in future post where we dig deeper into the game and its features!

We currently have a network testing scene wich will be shown from images in this post. This has the bare miniumum for us to test the networking functionality.

When a function works we add it to the actual game wich will be seen as the more detailed surrounding and detailing.

There will only be a max of 12 player per game at all time. Wich will make the networking work better and more smoothly. Currently we have only tested 5 clients at the same time wich gacve us no issues at all.

Before I wrap this post up i want to atlest give a sneak peek of the in game idea. The environement is still under development and will most likely change further down the development!
