I just did a tiny update yesterday to mission 5. Someone on Steam pointed out that the Phase Transport was purchasable if you captured an enemy war factory, so I just fixed that.

Whenever I do any update I do it both on here and on Steam.

If you have previously downloaded missions on Steam they don't auto-update though, so you'd have to delete and re-download them from within the game. Due to how the Steam integration works though they might take a while to catch the newer versions, so downloading here will be the best way to get the most recent updates.

Hey, thanks for playing! I've ran into that issue myself actually. Make sure that the mission files are in the root map folder (CnCRemastered\Local_Custom_Maps\Red_Alert) and not in a subfolder. That should hopefully do it.

In any case, all the mission briefings are available on the Steam Workshop collection page here: Steamcommunity.com

I would recommend the Side Ops campaigns by GotAPresentForYa. There are tons of levels for both Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert and they are really good! They're available here on ModDB.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review of From the Ashes :) Really appreciate you taking the time to write so in depth about it!

Your criticism of the lengthy instructions are of course very valid and something I'm fully aware of. Unfortunately the remasters have no way of making custom text triggers like you would see in the vanilla missions, so the briefings are really the only place I can conveniently put down everything the player needs to know. As you also pointed out, the UI element of reviewing briefings in-game also does not work for custom missions for some reason, but there is a work-around for this. If you do a quick-save and go to the menu for loading a mission, the briefing is shown there.

Anyway, there are two more missions left in the campaign (plus an ending cinematic) so I hope you'll check 'em out when they're done! Thanks for playing!

Hmm, that doesn't sound right. It's the first time I hear about this problem but unfortunately I can't replicate it. If you own the game on Steam you could try to subscribe to the mod on the Steam Workshop and try it that way. You can find it here: Steamcommunity.com

I was the one that made this :) Yes, it's missing the Generals unfortunately, guess I couldn't make it look good and it wouldn't be symmetrical.
