Works perfectly on Ubuntu 13.04. Small suggestions: adding Vsync option (it's an issue for me during the cutscene intro) and make the main menu (at the start) able to navigate with gamepad. Thanks.

Just finished this, it was all kinds of awesome. Really liked the humor, the music & the puzzles were not too hard (I'm getting older... :D brain doesn't work so fast anymore). But most of all a big thank you for supporting GNU/Linux, it means a lot to me. I also really appreciated the behind the scenes thingy in the menu after finishing the game.
Can't wait for Ch 2 !

On Linux? You are probably missing some libraries. I had the same problem.
You can go into desura folder manually and try running the game from there.
cd ./desura/common/Flare
./desura_launch_Play.sh
If you are on Ubuntu try this:
sudo apt-get install libsmpeg0 libjpeg62 libtiff4
