i would guess that those quad guns could be dropped down to ground level and be VERY EFFECTIVE against troops and the 'technicals' that would have been used by mujihadeen/talib
ESPECIALLY considering the mountainous terrain, and the positions taken on the ridge-lines
....if i was dug-in, up on a ridge in a mortar/gun position - the sight of this tank would worry me?.....
now why would the re-organized Afghan Army need this?
