Yeij, thank you!! :)
Thanks mate, happy to hear! :)
The mod was initially released in 2013. Now an updated version is on its way. :)
Awesome to hear, glad you like it!
Thanks for the in-depth comment. Glad you enjoyed it mate! And thanks for the feedback. I am iterating all levels, see if I can fix what you are pointing out. I hope you come back for a re-run of the mod. :)
Thanks, and I hear your feedback. More story pieces added in the upcoming new version, I hope you will return for another playthrough.
Yes. Visuals have been improved. But.. it's mostly an update giving depth to the mod; adding new story pieces and having more black/white moments. Introducing a complete new level and also alternate endings.
Also.. the additional story pieces and other collectibles will add extra value to the exploration. And commentary mode will give some insights to the development of the mod.
bump! :) have you had the time to look into it?
have you looked into it?
absolutely, here you go: Wizardext.se
I didn't have problem loading the default Quake 2 textures, I just got the feeling that many of them didn't load. But the real problem for me is to load my custom textures (or almost any texture from my aq2 texture folders), which loads fine in other editors. Are there any restrictions to why it might not load a texture? Something that isn't supported?
Really want to use Jackhammer for my upcoming maps! :)
I am trying to set it up correctly for Action Quake2 (or even Quake 2) mapping. But I am having problem getting the editor to load the textures I select. I select 213 textures and it only loads/displays 18 textures out of those. Why doesn't it load all the textures correctly?
There are no errors when loading the textures and they load/work/display fine in other Quake2 editors. What am I doing wrong, are there any restrictions/rules that can cause the textures not to properly load in Jackhammer? I have tried adding textures pointing at a folder, selecting individual files. Same result. I have tried putting 4 textures in a separate folder, naming them 1.wal, 2.wal, 3.wal, 4.wal and making sure they don't have .tga's with similar names (if that was the cause of the issue).. but no.
Please help me out, can't figure out what's happening. I want to be able to successfully load Quake2 textures into Jackhammer editor. Thanks!
Really happy to hear that you enjoyed Spherical Nightmares, so much that you played it again! I will definitely not let you wait another 5 years for next mod/game/map. Thanks!
It's up on PP now: Planetphillip.com
Looking forward to watch it!
Haha, awesome! Good moment. :)
You can't start/play the mod? Do you have Half-Life 2: Episode Two?
Hmm, I don't know. It works for me and others. When you click download you get this popup window: "Click to download sphericalnightmares_v1.zip if it doesn't start automatically or try another mirror."
If that doesn't work, there are other download links on the official website, www.sphericalnightmares.com and you can also download it soon at www.planetphillip.com
Does the game freeze or are you stuck in the geometry/collision of the train?
Ye, maybe not too obvious. I might iterate on this in a future patch as it also breaks some of the established Half-Life 2 rules.
Great to hear, thanks for playing!
Glad you found it, have fun! :)
Not yet, but today it will be. :)
i did, thanks for great feedback, again. :)
Thanks! No mappers or additional developers are needed for this project as it's coming to an end. All levels are finished, now the mod is just going through playtests and bug fixing to make for a quality release. Thanks for interest though! :)
