You can just delete the entire Third_Age_3 folder in your Medieval 2 total war mods folder. Then you can just install as normal.

What mods do you have? Most mods for Medieval 2 are mod-foldered so they don't affect other mods however it's always worth checking. This could be a UAC problem which affects Med 2 in very strange ways. I recommend following this tutorial from step three onward: Twcenter.net

Good luck :)

TATW is mod-foldered so you can just delete it from the mods folder in Medieval 2 Total War in program files. Then just install it the same way you installed it the first time.

Hey guys, I'm reinstalling stainless steel and was wondering if if it would affect TATW in any way.

Good on you guys for taking this disgusting, abhorrent mod down. There are some very sick, twisted people in this world and to call something like this "entertainment" is simply wrong.

That's great! Do any of the other factions have armor upgrades now?

Some would also argue that modding in itself is illegal.... Those people are idiots!

Hmm.. Well in that case I'm inclined to agree with DuBass. If it happened so suddenly it is most likely a hard drive problem. You could try calling Alienware technical support, but this has rarely been helpful in my experience. I'd suggest that if you aren't confident in re-installing major software or problems like this, you should bring it to a computer repair shop, they usually tell you what's wrong with it up front and then tell the appropriate course of action. Ring your local EB games, or or GameStop (or where ever you happen to be in the world) and should be able reccomend a reputable store. Anyway good luck with fixing your problem, I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on 3.0!

It really says something when a video of a mod gets such a positive reaction. The time and commitment that have gone into making this wonderful mod is astounding. To all those who have been involved with the mod: Well done and continue your amazing work! :)

Too true man, Skyrim is going to eat up my time. Why do they have to release it in my HSC year? *curses to the heavens*

I have a general question for everyone. How many of you are purists? ie. playing total war without re loading saves and accepting the outcome of every battle.

It isn't my "vision" of ww1 it is the reality of the war. Over 35 million people died because of outdated tactics, lack of ingenuity, and incompetent commanders. It was called the stalemate on the western front for a reason. And what do you mean there have been more tactical advancements during ww1 than from 1918 to the gulf war? What do you call the advancements in general weapon technology? What do you call asymmetric warfare, tactical nuclear weapons, ICBM's, SAM's, strategic bombing? The list goes on and on.

Soldiers had to keep in straight lines and tightly packed ranks at all times so that volley's of unaimed fire would have the maximum impact. They were trained to march slowly even in the face of enemy fire and break into a "moderate" running pace only for the final charge which was usually 50 metres from the enemy line (that's if they got that far).

I mean ww1 was very different in terms of tactics to ww2. It was the Napoleonic vision of war, preparatory artillery bombardment, followed by an infantry wave assault to break the enemy line and when the line was broken, the cavalry would pour through in one glorious charge. Of course this didn't happen and there weren't any real advancements in tactics until very late in the war (eg. July 1918 Battle of Hamel was the first successful use of a coordinated assault or "combined arms" as it is known today). I was just wondering if they are doing anything to reflect this.

I know, can't stop an Aussie from dreaming though, I think it's great that they put the AIF in the mod in the first place a lot of people overlook the part that the Aussies played. Keep up the good work guys! :)

Fountain Guards are a solid defensive unit, you can use the city streets to draw mordor into a bottleneck and try and outflank them with your cavalry (4 generals bodyguard can devastating if used correctly, even against pikemen). Be prepared to lose a sizable amount of troops, but if you can rout the enemy force in the city it should give you enough time to rebuild a defensive force, I think your cavalry will be key to winning this battle. Anyway that's my 2 cents worth, good luck! :)
