My name is Oliver Joyce. I am a game developer best known as the creator of the popular game series Swords and Sandals but in a decade in the web and mobile games space I have built over 200 games for game portals and clients alike. Game design is my passion.
In 2014, I set up Whiskeybarrel Studios, an independent games studio. Here at Whiskeybarrel Studios we endeavour to create original, highly addictive and fun games that can be enjoyed by everyone. With over 10 years of game industry experience under my belt, my aim is to craft games that stand out from the pack; games that exude warmth, humour and replayability. A lofty goal, no doubt, but we as game designers should aim for the stars.
I’m currently hard at work on a new game, Ships and Scurvy, an exciting ocean adventure featuring explorers, pirates, sea monsters and more. The game is due for release in 2016 on PC, Mac, Android and iOS.
