Yeah, as far as I remember I didn't touch world textures at all.
Sikk mod messes with a bit more, but most of my work was done with how the decals are generated.
So yeah, textures should work perfectly fine. :)

If I don't remember completely wrong I included the most basic form of my mod combined with the basic Rivarez features.

That's definitely possible, but at the moment I don't even have Fear and the modding tools installed. When I have another FEAR phase I'm sure I'll install it all again and then I'll take a look. :)

This patch doesn't work for me for some reason.
It starts, then says "adding shortcut" and terminates itself. Tried patches from other sources as well of course, but nope. Can't get it to work for some reason.
I installed the former patch of course, which worked well.
Any ideas?

For the next one to google solutions:
I got it running by setting resolution to 1920x1080 and compatibility mode to Windows 7 for both pandora_tomorrow.exe in main directory and SplinterCell2.exe in offline/system
It sadly didn't like 4k resolutions.
The game also reset the widescreen fix ini file whenever I started it which also made it crash the next time I ran it, so I write protected that one.

The game also looks much better if you enable anisotropic filtering x16 in your graphics driver settings, Antialiasing and vsync.

I can imagine that this might be SikkMod, which I used as the foundation to build on (only keeping graphical aspects though) or one of the tweaks in the autoexec that comes with the package. Those can change quite a lot concerning performance (and some I really don't understand myself, but took from guides).
In any case, most important is, that your game runs better now. :)

It does.
I like it better because you'll have a lot more health later and won't hear the breathing at all if you heal as soon as you get the most from your health packs.

One of the versions I included enables you to carry 5 weapons at least. That should cover the most critical ones for you.
I actually only play with loadout set to vanilla and enjoy the fact that I can't carry an arsenal. But yeah, when I am at it again I can add an option for even more weapons. :)

Same here. For me it still crashes pretty often and textures are not loaded (making things, the floor, weapons etc. invisible.)
I installed the basic version and run the game in a 4k resolution. No compatibility mode.

Did you start a new game?
I know for a fact that the unlimited flashlight battery at least only works when starting from scratch.
Also, you can check in the controls setting if there's a binding for an additional weapon. If you edit the number of max-weapons it is automatically added to the key binding options.

This mod does not make blood and debris stay longer, but you can use the Rivarez mod along with Mutilation as long as you don't use its weapon changes. I included instructions how to make the game load both mods in the ReadMe file.
Personally I couldn't live with vanishing blood decals... :D

In order to make the new decals work I had to edit some of the weapon files. Damage values and the like are in those files as well, so it might not be compatible.
You can make them compatible though. Open the pk4 packs with 7zip, look for the files both mods use, compare values and change them.
In order to edit the files you first have to drag and drop to another folder. Really, works like with any other zip or rar file. Good luck!

Just a question:
I modded FEAR for a bit a few years ago, and wondered how you made the blood stay _without_ killing the save games?
Back then it would crash on loading a save if blood decals were set on staying longer/forever.

Some more Feedback on the whole thing, now that I played through the campaign again (with patch 6.2):
- Used addons for no additional smartgun spawns, overhaul WY and Aliens (mostly)and changed ammo spawn back to need-based vanilla settings.

- WY troops often do very little damage and didn't throw a single campaign (Soldier difficulty). Bug?
- Aliens basically two-hit me, which often is a good thing since that's just what they do. It leads to a few frustrating scenes though when they come from all sides and there's basically damage out of nowhere with little chance on preventing it (dropship fuel lines scene). On my playthrough it made the difficulty very inconsistent with insane spikes and a lot of trial and error on Soldier difficulty.
- The button-mashing to defend against Alien pouncing should be done a bit faster, otherwise the amount of damage received is a bit too punishing in my book.
- I'd love options to turn back pickup spawns back to vanilla and revert balancing for weapons as well. Those flamethrowers at the derelict entrance for example are classic. They _need_ to be there to purge them with fire... I get that weapon stat changes are mostly made for balancing, but I'd love to have them closer to vanilla concerning the order of usefulness.
- Allies very often stay behind, even at crucial moments, which can be kinda frustrating sometimes and break immersion. I saw this is included in the description and seems to come as a side effect of the AI overhaul, but I think it's still worth mentioning since it changes difficulty a lot in some places.
- Aliens really seem to love the player. It's been a long time since I played ACM unmodded (INSANITY!), so I'm not sure it's the mod or just vanilla behavior. It's kinda weird and annoying to see Aliens go past all those juicy targets to get to me.
- Spitters were very unpredictable for me. I think I read something about faster acid spitting and maybe it's that, but it's kinda annoying sometimes and seems like damage out of nowhere with no way to avoid it.

Also got some feedback on difficulty:
That scene where you have to disconnect the fuel lines from the dropship is pretty unfair. I'm playing on Soldier difficulty and basically being a two-hit while npcs are kinda useless, xenos favor me as a player and jumping me from behind while I'm shooting at another one coming at me makes this checkpoint pretty annoying.
It's fine in Coop I think, but in single player it's more like gambling than actually based on skill.
Sure, Xenomorphs should be deadly at close range, but at that particular checkpoint it crosses the line from challenging to frustrating for me.
No salt here, just giving feedback. :)

Door works fine but I am having some trouble in those defense situations situations where xenomorphs are supposed to rush me. Sometimes they just stop spawning, there's also nothing on the motion tracker.
I noticed that on the Sulaco trying to reach the umbilical, and on the command centre in Hadley's Hope after setting up the sentry gun.

The mission also won't advance if the xenos won't keep coming in the command centre.

First and foremost: YAY! It's finally here! Was waiting for ACMO 6 for a while now! Thanks for your tireless work!

Also, is there any way to turn off randomized ammo?
Whenever I play through the game I usually reset my save so I start from scratch, picking up the weapons where I usually find them making progress. I really like it like that and would also want the ammo drops to be vanilla again.
Can you point me to a file or pack where I might change it back?

Just updated the download. My readme didn't mention that you need to change your resolution in the autoexec.cfg in the mod folder. There are also a few other options.

Thanks! I recently started to reassemble my mod stuff again, and I know at some point I had dryfire and that spinning barrel when empty. Couldn't find my old script files (which I got from some mod) from 10 years ago, and was really glad to still find these scripts online!

My only problem is, that the game went back to being censored for me (German version) though, as far as I know, the censorship has been reverted a year back or so. Hm. Any ideas?

Hi there,
For some reason the Sneaky upgrade exe won't start. No error message, no nothing. The HD is just busy for a second or two and then nothing happens.
Already tried to start as admin of course.
Any ideas how to fix that?
