Il be lucky if you ever read this, but I think you should know so you don?t waste a great gaming experience. I love Half-Life2, but I think FarCry does everything that HL2 did wrong. While HL2 got a deep and dark story (nothing wrong withy that really), FarCry has a more simple and kick-*** story.
Gameplay is great in both of them, but if it hadn?t been for the Gravity gun I think FarCry wins, because of the huge maps and the many alternative routes you may choose to take. With a higher difficulty setting being sneaky becomes necessary and they have done a great job in getting you to feel like a real jungle predator. The weapon arsenal is also a lot more impressive and sounds a lot better imo.
The biggest problem with HL2 is that it can get kinda boring at times, I know several people who are not big gamers that stopped playing Half-Life2 when they where in Nova-Prospect or at the return to City17, tired of shooting down combines after combines after combines. FarCry have a lot of fun enemies, both humans and monsters.
BTW FarCry have ragdoll, just more realistic and a little side note, FarCry has a real ending :)
Thanks for the comment.
