that's due to the instability of the game and of the mod. you might want to try to use the windows compatibility system and set it with windows 7 sp1.

when i play the original game as a rebel (galactic C> Main galactic conquest) it start ok with the 5 rebel corelian corvets then when the ISD comes i'm stuck in the scene and it stays there for more than 10 min unable to do anything.
does this mod work with gog.com version of the game?

that's for the sdk, i think he is referring to the full GPL source code! the src code should be available soon (my guess sometime in December).
well megatexture in etqw apparently works differently than in id tech5. How differently im just guessing tbh. Anyway there are some modification in scripting and multi threaded processing made by SD. those are easy to add but Megatexture will be a hard trick to pull!
i wish they would release ETQW source code it comes with a modified version of megatexture and it's the only game to use megatexture with idtech 4! But so far so good to ave D3 src!

Megatexture was first introduced into idtech 4 for ETQW game! Doom 3, Prey (has been modified to support huge map size, way bigger than D3/Q4 maybe even ETQW!) and quake 4 don't have this feature... Megatexture was designed for idtech 5 already being worked on By Mr. Carmack
doom3 src code only... no additional things (for sure) like new map size from prey or network things from etqw, no whatever wolfenstein brought....

stupid question, your game is supposedly available on Linux if i read correctly on the platform support, but something is bothering me UDK hasn't linux supported at all. Are you really make this game for linux or are just thinking of having some sort of server binary for linux?
