Might be the time for me to get into Down, because this sounds sick.
Guys I come to you late at night, to share what turned from a random Internet late night discovery, to one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. The band right here "Ripper" is from my country Chile, and I gotta say that after listening to their debut album, I feel like haven't listened to such a good Thrash Metal album in years. Don't let this one be another of those posts you overlook, LISTEN TO THIS **** AND LOVE IT!
It's cool to see these newer bands keep that classic Heavy Metal/NWOBHM vibe still alive. The song is killer and the outro is really interesting.
Well of course when it comes to sub-genres, Disturbed earlier in their career was a Nu Metal band. Also people would refer to them as modern metal since they belong to a new sound that was developed around the early 2000's. But at the end what matters is that it's Metal. And as I always say if you like it, listen to it, don't worry about what other people say about the band.
Yes I would consider them as a Heavy Metal band. Why? Because they play heavy metal music, it's that simple.
Thanks man!
I don't know how to describe it but I love this kind of Black Metal.
That riff that started at 0:21 is hypnotic as ****. I love those more of like dragged, mid to slow tempo riffs. The riff from Darkthrone's Quintessence was what got me into Black Metal altogether haha.
I was never much of a fan of brutal death metal, but there is no denying that intro riff destroys.
I suggest you all to read this article (about Metalsucks trying to censor NSBM bands in Hell's Headbangers Records), I really agree with what Matt says here.
Hi guys, just a few days ago I went to see Heaven Shall Burn and Carcass live.
I have to tell you it was an amazing show, almost no one was on his phone, lots of people crowd surfing, awesome moshing, just great fun in general.
One of the best melodic death metal bands out there.
Probably one of the most obscure, yet so beautiful and releasing album I've heard in a long time. The fact of knowing this album was made as Aleah and Juha were struggling with her cancer gives a lot of sense to the lyrics and atmosphere. May Aleah rest in peace, but her spirit will live forever on in her music.
Carcass, Lamb of God and Heaven Shall Burn are coming to my city to play a show together. I love my life.
Probably one of the few Black Metal pseudonyms that I like. Pest sounds great, on the other hand something like Necrobutcher sounds like overdoing itself.
I feel so ****** for listening just now to Ihsahn's work aside from Emperor.
His last album is an absolute killer one.
Cool song and Album cover.
Amazing as for me I've been rocking some Kvelertak, cool band with a little black metal touch.
Killer song. Marduk's early work is really amazing. Those Of The Unlight is also one of my favorite albums from them.
Cool stuff from France!
Cool to see you added the album covers. Although some of them are different versions of the ones I picked for example this cover is the reissue version but I like more the original one where there are two females instead of skulls, and also the new version of Stratovarius Destiny album. Check them in these links.
Rock on! \m/
Besides what we shared, I did not talk with Necrolifer in private messages or anything. I'm not the kind of guy who makes friends online to be honest.
As for the ones who don't come by, it could be because they don't know of the group, or maybe they are just not into it.
If you would like an underground band you could check this one out, a melodic death metal one from Russia with some modern synth sounds. Youtube.com
Or maybe you could check Misfits, not really a metal band but a punk one, they're not underground but I've been listening to them lately and want to share some. They have two singers Glenn Danzig with like an "Evil Elvis voice", and Michael Graves who is also pretty good. Youtube.com
Honestly I don't keep up with what the members of the group do, and I don't care. This was never a really active group to begin with, maybe when I joined it back in 2012 there was more people around, and since the creation of the group in 2008 a lot of people have stopped posting.
You also have to think that many of the people here are also modders or content creators and when they finished their projects they left or they simply stopped by while they were working on something else, but probably now they are not.
I just like posting here because in the area where I live you can barely find people who like Metal, specially the more heavy or underground stuff. I have barely 2 to 3 friends who are really into it. So here I can discuss about it and share good music, because most of my friends don't even want to hear about it.
Here are some of my favorite album covers.
Boris - Flood
Kvelertak - Kvelertak
Arch Enemy - Black Earth
Stratovarius - Destiny (2016)
Dark Tranquillity - Character
I was lucky enough to see Motörhead perform live before Lemmy died. A wise man and he truly lived his own way.
I don't really know much about them but it seems you got them right. Mboi Tu'i I think has to do more with other cultures and not that much with Chile but honestly I don't know. I'll upload more about the Chiloe mythology since I find it quite interesting and they have their own exclusive creatures.
