Great news! This is the only game that I enjoyed playing online! So keep up the good work!

Can you please make sure that it works on other platforms too? (who said OSX?!?)

If the source code doesn't became available, have you considered to recreate the game from scratch on another engine (i.e.: Left4Dead)?

Cheers mate!
Too bad ModDB has no copies of the file in its servers...
I'll manage to get a copy, in a way or another! :P

Merry Xmas!

What am I doing wrong?

The application is closed just after its opening in Mountain Lion...

Too bad... I was so curious to see the showcase!

BTW, I successfully bypassed ML's GateKeeper... any help?

The green collar around the neck of the HEV suite is rather weird...
Maybe a shiny metal surface would be better, imho, much like original guards helmets or similar...
Not a big issue, anyway, given that we will only see that model in game for just a few moments...

You have my vote!

Keep up the good work!

Hi there, thanks for posting this...
It was ages I was waiting for a game set in Victorian time!
I am a PhD student in AI, I have no experience in actual game development but I am really curious of since it could be my research filed in the near future!
Let me know if I can help somehow (just consider I could need some assistance at the beginning! :P)

All the best with you game!

A couple of days ago, Black Mesa was no more appearing as the first hit when searching for "black mesa" on ModDB...

But then, the devs had an interview where they announced something "soonish" and they immediately managed to get the first rank again by the search algorithm...

if I did not know that they do not give a (d)uck of their own ModDB page, I would say that the devs are playing on their fan base...

Anyway, let's hope for the best... even if their attitude towards fans is not very encouraging...

Hi!

I'm so happy you keep updating this great game, however I was wondering if it was possible to play it on a Mac... I recently switched to Apple and I'm missing ZP:S so much!

Do you plan to release a Mac-friendly version or have you to face too much technical problems to provide one? I had a quick look in Internet but I haven't found anything useful...

Thanks,
P.

Hi guys!

Sorry if I reply to the above comment but it's the only way to add the comment on the first page and be visible...

Great to know you have updated ZP:S! Thank you!

Btw, I recently had to switch to a Mac... Do you have any plan to release it for such a platform (soon)?
I don't have any idea of the work required to achieve such a porting, so am I simply asking...

Again, thank you and keep up the good work!

Awesome!
I was concerned because I had the impression that some contents wasn't enough defined for a high-poly engine...

...but the final result is simply great... you experience the higher resolution but also feel the mood of the original game!

Good work!

I'm waiting for you guys to release it! ;P

I saw that the hours spent on SDK by the team increased by roughly 5, but lets round it to 6...
Currently the dev team is composed by 41 persons (according to their page), so... after a simple calculation, they work on the mod in their spare time for about 8 minutes and 45 seconds each...
I'm impressed... this clearly shows to the skeptical persons out there that the mod is not dead, they are definitely working so hard on the mod that they will be able to bend time and release it for the 2009 release date...

LOL

Yes, sh!t happens...

And sometimes a solid schedule is not even enough...

That's not the right way to compute percentages...

If the whole project is 100%, you should consider its main parts and states how much of them are completed... doesn't matter the amount of things it's made of...

How you would know that? The first part of any given project is the analysis: thanks to it, you can judge how much work is required to finish the job, what are the most difficult parts that require more attention and so on... Hope they are not proceeding randomly...

And by the way, any real project has an internal schedule (and of course it's a choice of devs to share it with fans), I hope devs have one and stick to it instead of doing esthetic iterations or they will going to miss their 12 month goal someone reported here...

That's what I can say, speaking upon my marginal experience... now bury my comment!!! ;)

Hope they are not proceeding randomly or the project will really never end...

I hope to be wrong, but I've already seen some modders behave this way...

Initially they have a big plan, but at some point they realize they cannot accomplish it and start to keep the project secret until they eventually release what they have done so far because the engine won't allow what they planned to do...

An example? Project Revolution!
It was aimed to recreate the Starcraft universe in 3D thanks to WarcraftIII engine: they released a partially working Terran campaign, after many month of stubborn silence only to say that Zerg and Protoss campaigns were not possible due to engine limitations...

They already started to discard pieces of the project, such as the cooperative campaign and the training course, so, again, I HOPE TO BE WRONG, but this is the direction I think the devs are going to take...

I keep my finger crossed, but I prepare myself for the worst...

We also don't owe them anything...
If they want support, they have to earn it.
It is normal that people get angry when treated impolitely as the devs are doing...
