I can only speak for myself, but I couldn't play the game either. The game does start, but it "runs" sooooooooo sluuuuuugggggggiiiiiiiiiiishhhhhhhhhlyyyyyyyyy slow that it becomes effectively unplayable, even at the standard windowed, 640x480 mode with the lowest graphics quality settings.
Yea, you're right, I've seen it now. But the annoying thing is that the disclaimer is only shown if you choose Windows as your preferred platform, or if you don't choose any platform at all. If, on the other hand, you choose Mac or Linux (or if you're using the Mac or Linux client) you don't get any message about the game being Steam-only. :(
But Dungeon Hearts IS available on Desura. So why only a Steam key?
Just bought The Mighty Bundle, mainly for Waveform 'cos I'm a Linux user and I already own Avadon.
Since Tidalis runs on Unity, have you considered porting it to Linux and thus enlarging my Desura Linux games collection? : )
Just got the Bundle in a Box!
BTW, are you considering porting Phantasmaburbia to Linux (Ubuntu), since the new export tool? That would make me raise my payment considerably... :)
Hooray! Really looking forward to the Linux build!
Thanks for the tip! (and thanks Caravel Games for the key as well!)
Then enable me if you want. I'll try to do my best keeping this group's news up to date.
Totally agree with you!
Can anyone create an article, or only admins can?
I've just sent them a mail asking the same thing! :D
Just tried the Linux64 alpha and I must say it's quite fun and challenging.
One thing, though, when using Blink (on the tutorial) CPU usage jumps to 100% and never goes down. Can anyone replicate this behavior or is it just me?
I managed to get the Desura client to work again. During my struggle with this game I must've uninstalled the libnspr4-0d package that was required to properly run the client. Reinstalling it did the trick.
Problem solved (at least in part). After many blind trial-and-errors I THINK that the problem was caused by Adobe AIR, which apparently was conflicting with the outdated Adoble Flash Player plugin version embedded in the game.
The downside is that now my Desura client is not working properly: it doesn't show anything below the main tabs (Games, Play, Community, etc). :(
I just got this game on Indie Gala but I'm not able to run it in Ubuntu 12.10 64bit. All I get is the little black window that some other users have reported.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem? (I've already installed ia32-libs)
