Phew, I'm done user-testing my upcoming game. The last play-through didn't reveal anything substantially new. I believe the puzzles are balanced, and the red herrings are all gone.
Mr. Carny is happy!

The improved game features are coming along nicely, and I've done one beta run-through. I'll improve the puzzles based on that, then do more tests.
Some of the improved engine bits:
- Avatars when characters speak in the game.
- Improved text flow, manual and automatic. This is tough to get right in a multiplayer adventure game.
- Fixed defect (well, the design) that allowed multiplayers to trigger puzzle solutions twice
- Added a "No Longer Useful" section to the inventory. This lets players focus on items they still need to use.
I'm busy finishing off the puzzles of the game. Beta testing should start this week, or next.
