Just the Source SDK Base 2007.
I will be aggressively working on Linux Play in the next couple of months. Watch us on GitHub to stay tuned to the latest updates!
No, we need a team of 15 people working 40 hours a week to make story mode.
Try again now, Valve fixed their steampipe fiasco with the Source SDK Base 2007.
Check the "gesinstall.log" file that is created in your sourcemods directory. This will show you which files failed to patch properly. The reason this occurs is if you made local changes to files that were needing a patch. The installer told you to do that btw ;-)
Valve has claimed they fixed this problem with the latest update through Steam.
Everyone, here is our current release roadmap (if you are curious):
It's directly above this post! "GE:S v4.2.3 | Full Installer | [EXE]"
You have to start the game and UNCHECK the "Show Map List" option in the lower right in the server browser. Then you should find servers with people playing.
Of course, you can always play with bots :-D
Agree on the DD44! Thank you for the feedback, it is really appreciated. As for the camera sway, I think you mean when aiming the cursor moves around the screen vice staying in the middle, correct? If so, we actively decided not to implement that due to various reasons including gameplay flow and the use of a mouse.

We have an in-game update notifier that includes download links. There is really not much more too it than that. Don't see any value in integrating the update into the game itself (which, it would seem, the FF guys didn't even do since they have some other program download the update and install it).
The only point that an auto-updater would be useful is to have a background process streamline the updates and notify you that they are available (vice when you launch the game). Since I do not endorse this approach, it won't be included.
It was upped to 1080p with NTSC encoding. There were minor tweaks to the beginning and Bond's gate as well.
The next release will: v4.3
It will require a ton of work to port over the code, however. v4.3 will be entirely open source as well!

Sometimes moddb takes a little bit
VERY soon. All dev is done, working PR side.
This will take many months. The update is significant.
Yes you can, but you need to be logged into steam first. You can use steam offline though. We also have bots in the game!
You mean like this one? Moddb.com
Man...
No dual wielding
I can assure you that ge_teamplay works just fine. Please note that the round must be restarted in order to establish teamplay. (ge_endround)
There is absolutely Team YOLT. To enable it you must enable teamplay:
ge_teamplay 1
ge_gameplay yolt
Just restart the game, some video cards are not kind to resolutions changes in Source.
It sure sounds like it is, haha. The patch ran on my laptop for about 5 minutes, and I tested it about 50 times. Dunno what to say, but when its done have fun playing!
Agreed. Thank you Scott and ModDB. Don't forget to support them as well for hosting us!
Come to think of it, our custom fonts do not support asian languages so it would be a challenge to get them to work as is.... worth an experiment down the road though.
If anyone is proficient in Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, or Japanese we could use some help with our translation files: Forums.geshl2.com
